How Mockly collects, uses, and protects your information when you practice interviews, upload resumes, and receive AI-powered feedback.
1. Introduction
- This Privacy Policy explains how Mockly ("Mockly," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services").
- By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Data: Name, email, authentication identifiers, and profile preferences.
- Usage Data: Device/browser details, IP address, pages viewed, interactions, and diagnostics.
- Content You Provide: Resumes, job descriptions, interview recordings/transcripts, notes, and feedback.
- Billing Data: Payment references and transaction metadata handled via our payment processors (we do not store full card numbers).
- Support Data: Messages or attachments you submit to support.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide and improve the Services, including interview practice, scoring, and recommendations.
- Personalize content, voices, prompts, and learning paths.
- Secure the platform, prevent fraud/abuse, and monitor reliability.
- Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and support.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. AI/Model Processing
- Interview audio, transcripts, and prompts may be processed by AI models to generate questions, feedback, and summaries.
- We apply data minimization; only relevant subsets of data are sent to the model services used for the requested feature.
- We do not sell your interview data. Model providers may process data as our sub-processors under contractual safeguards.
5. Cookies & Tracking
- We use cookies/local storage for authentication, session continuity, preferences, and limited analytics.
- You can manage cookies in your browser settings; disabling some may impact functionality.
6. Disclosures & Sharing
- Service Providers: Hosting, analytics, communications, and payment processors under appropriate agreements.
- Legal/Compliance: To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect rights, safety, and security.
- Business Changes: In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, data may be transferred with notice where required.
7. Data Retention
- We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described or as required by law.
- Interview artifacts (audio, transcripts) and resumes may be deleted upon user request where feasible, subject to backups and legal obligations.
8. Your Choices & Rights
- Access/Update: You may access or update certain profile information in your account.
- Delete: You may request deletion of your account and certain data, subject to legal/operational constraints.
- Opt-Out: You can opt out of non-essential communications via provided controls.
9. Security
- We use technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring) to protect data.
- No method is 100% secure; please use strong credentials and report suspicious activity promptly.
10. Children
- The Services are not directed to children under 16. Do not use the Services if you are under this age.
11. International Transfers
- Data may be processed in countries different from your residence. We apply safeguards consistent with applicable law for such transfers.
12. Changes
